Twitter Art Exhibit
This is the latest illustration for the 13th annual Twitter Art Exhibit 2022. Launched in 2010 in Norway by David Sandum, the annual exhibit is now curated around the world. 80% of the funds raised is donated towards the selected charity. Every year an average of 700 artists worldwide participate in donating a small postcard sized analog art to the event to raise funds for a selected charity.
The 2022 event opens June 25 in York. UK, curated by Mathew Bose. The proceeds will be going to The Encephalitis Society which seeks in increase global awareness of encephalitis and the support available.
A little bit about the piece
Inspired by the reference photograph by Haskelr photography of the Australian Ibis, this piece utilised white and greyscale colour pencils on a dark background to capture the atmospheric lighting of the photograph.
